Contacting John
The best way to contact John is by email - click here:

It really does help if you can include information about the type of institution, probable group sizes, preferred dates and - above all - location.
You could also phone the office 07999 985986 but do bear in mind that during term time he`s out every day telling stories in schools so you`re more than likely to be asked to leave a message on the voicemail.
If you do get the voicemail please leave a message with as many contact numbers as you can and he'll get back to you as soon as he can. If you only leave the school number it's unlikely he'll be able to return your call at a time when you're available. If you can leave an evening and mobile number as well that would really help.
Or you can fill in this form:
Please read the Terms and Conditions.....
Most of these points are basic and straightforward but please read them carefully, and if there are any problems arising from them please contact us as soon as possible.
The first performance will begin at 9:30 am unless otherwise arranged.
Maximum audience sizes are 60 for Reception, 100 for Years 1 - 6 and 60 for KS3+.
We regret that John is unable to work with children younger than Reception age.
Payment is by cheque on the day of the visit unless previously arranged, in which case payment is due within 30 days of the visit. Late payments may be subject to a surcharge under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
A booking is regarded as firm once a date has been set, either verbally or written, and is regarded as a contract between John and the organisation responsible for the booking. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking being made will not be charged, but in all other cases either an alternative date should be arranged or a cancellation fee will apply. If less than a month's notice is given of a cancellation without an alternative date being arranged the full fee will be payable.
Please ensure a parking space is available for John.
At least one member of staff must be present throughout each performance.
The sessions must take place in an appropriate setting without through-traffic and where external noise and interruptions are kept to a minimum. If your school Hall is one which people walk through to get to other parts of the school and your library isn't large enough to accommodate everyone the please rearrange the furniture in a classroom.
Please provide seating which raises John to a level high enough to enable the audience to see him at all times, such as a PE stool or strong table.
For the booksigning please provide a suitable table and chair.
Parents should be notified in advance in writing of the visit and the opportunity to buy John's books. (Publicity material to support this will be sent seperately.)
If a school allows children to purchase books on the day but pay at a later date an inventory of sales must be provided at the end of the visit and all outstanding monies must be paid within 30 Days.
John is happy to be photographed talking to the children at the beginning and end of sessions, but please do not take photographs while the stories are being told - it distracts both audience and performer and can spoil the atmosphere that John has worked hard to build (and you have paid for!).
Please ensure all colleagues are aware of this.
Please contact us immediately if any problems arise from these points. If we are not notified of any such problems it is assumed the terms and conditions are agreed upon in full.
